To start with Google Yelp Review and Google Review do not mean the same thing. You can Google the Yelp site to access information on area businesses globally. A Google Review housed under Google My Business only covers a small portion of websites in that realm. The quality of Google or Yelp Reviews has been deemed desirable and excellent. Yelp concentrates entirely on reviews and covers many more websites than Google does in this area.

Why Google Yelp Reviews

Yelp ranks as a dynamo for reviews. Digital agencies and other web authorities dealing with marketing recommend using Yelp to build brand awareness. For travelers a Google Yelp Review lets them find needed restaurants, shopping, or services as they pass through a local region. Yelp has a trust reputation built now for ten years. Free for a business owner it offers back-links to establish an SEO presence at least regionally for small business. For larger entities, it creates back-links to their many partners and associations adding to the all-important ranking on search engines. People have a familiarity with Yelp due to its longevity, and millions use it daily.

Even though Yelp Reviews remain more prolific, Google Reviews generally rank higher than Yelp. Being listed with Google My Business does help with Google Rankings. Recommendations remain to do both types of reviews. Google Yelp Review appeal more to consumer audiences. Yelp’s process of using an algorithm not quite as stable as Google’s. Sometimes good reviews do not display so check. Yelp Reviews does in most cases come directly from consumers so read for improvements to your business.
